About Me
Personal Profile of Julie Waller
I am from Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, and grew up going to catholic schools outside the Philadelphia area. Lansdale Catholic High School is where I learned and grew as a person in many ways. I graduated in 2018 and while going to high school I started working at Normandy Farms Estates, which was my second job after being a sales manager at Valley Green Flowers and Gifts. June 2017 changed my life, I started working at NFE which is a retirement community and my passion for Long Term Care erupted. It has created a passion for aging America within me.

In high school, I was captain of our softball team, was on the swim team, was our club ice hockey team manager, and received numerous varsity letters. Besides athletics, I was in the drama club and was the graphic designer for them as well. Academically, I was in all honors classes and was apart of Future Business Leaders of America. Lastly, I received an award for perfect attendance for all four years of high school.
I started at Penn State in June 2018 for a summer session/leap program. This was very important to me and I loved every second of it. My grandmother passed away when I came home for a week until fall started, which was hard. She loved to bring me to volunteer at St.Joseph's Villa in Flourtown when I was younger. She, my great aunt Sister St. Gregory and my maternal grandmother all stayed/stay at the Villa and these communities have shown me what I love to do and why I have such a strong passion for Long Term Care. Many people on my mom's side are/were involved in end-of-life care. My great aunt started the first Adult Day Care Center at the Villa, and it was the first in Montgomery County, PA, she was brilliant to implement that.

Looking Forward
Currently, studying for my examination to be a licensed nursing home administrator. I love interacting with residents and helping ensure person-centered care. In the end, it is their home you work in which many people in this industry do not understand. I am determined to make a difference in these communities and work as much as possible to do so.
